About
Howdy, I’m Kelly Mitchell. I’ve been shooting the world around me for over 30 years now and the thrill has never gone. From the very early days of loitering around the darkrooms of the UTS Balmain campus getting messy with film and nasty chemicals, to the digital revolution and the change in methodology that has come with that. The magic is still the same. The moment of capture and review still carries a buzz of excitement and pride, “I did that!”. I’ve not made a big deal of sharing my images in the past, save for a couple of small exhibitions at 10 Taylor St in Darlinghurst, Sydney and the Ascender Gallery in Surry Hills. Now it’s time to dig out the gems and give them some airtime. I hope you enjoy! I'm also a father, son, brother, husband, homeowner, creative director, designer, surfer, womens’ football coach, West Ham United tragic, tennis player, craft beer appreciator, cycling fan, humanist, traveller, strong believer in environmental preservation & social justice, the great outdoors, red wine and large flat whites. OK, I'm done. Available for commission, see Contact details. Prints and commercial use of selected images also available on request.
